Are you a dynamic, energetic and results-oriented person who strives to develop a safe and inclusive work environment? In this role, you will support our MacKay River operations in Fort McMurray in the day-to-day operations of safe, efficient and reliable production within the operating area.
Minimum Requirement:
- Five years of field operations experience in the energy industry
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certification or higher
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Experience in a SAGD facility
- Commissioning, start-up, shut-down and turnaround experience
- A strong understanding of maintenance, operations and process safety standards related to the safe and efficient operation of the assets
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning for operational tasks such as equipment isolation, control of hazardous energy and confined space entry preparation
- Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment and that plant policies are followed
- Perform plant operation duties for smooth and efficient operations
- Ensure plant-related issues beyond your scope are appropriately flagged to your leader
- Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings to your leader in a timely manner
- Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning
- Maintain housekeeping at a high level
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our McKay River site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- The shift schedule is a 6 days on/6 days off rotation (3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 days off; 12-hour shifts)
- This position is safety sensitive
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
