Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, IT, this position provides support to our internal associates and the IT team.

Position Functions:

  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
  • Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, phones (mobile & landline) and printers for new employees
  • Provide mobile phone support (iPhones & Androids)
  • Perform administration and training for WebEx users
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues, servers, and network equipment.
  • Provision/Deactivate accounts on the domain
  • Perform basic administration duties on the Cisco phone system
  • Prepare monthly reports to identify upcoming expiration of domain registrations, software renewals, and hardware warranty renewals.
  • Track software licensing counts
  • Arrange for sale of old hardware
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by creating user guides and documentation for known issue
  • Gain a basic understanding of key business-specific applications in order to provide ‘value-add’ technical support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University or college degree in Computer Systems Technology or related field is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware including PCs, switches, printers, mobile devices
  • Bilingual, English and French
  • Experience with desktop operating systems and applications
  • Basic Microsoft application support experience (i.e. Office, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint)
  • Basic network knowledge and network troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
  • Experience in InTune, Carbon Black, SharePoint, and Xerox DocuShare are assets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support
