Core Receiver

Position Overview:

The Core Receiver is responsible for all aspects of the core receiving process and managing the core bank.

Job Description:

• Must be able to proficiently perform tasks associated with the core receiving process for all small and large components including turbos, water pumps, engines, transmissions, etc.
• Must be able to correctly identify the component according to OEM part number as well as identify missing/excessive parts and complete preliminary core condition reports.
• Must be proficient in all aspects of the core receiving process for all three of the following groups: Salvaged Components (crankshafts, cylinder blocks, connecting rods and cylinder heads), Small Components and Undercarriage, and Large Components.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 2 or higher. Relevant & applicable external experience to the position will alternatively be considered.
• Preference given to those who fall within the value stream & qualify as defined in Schedule C.
• Previous experience operating Counterbalance Forklift is preferred.
• Preference given to those with a forklift certification.
• Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.
• Computer skills and knowledge of computer systems (MS Outlook, Excel) is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions.
• Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision.
• Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.

Note:

• This posting is for a static day shift; Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day (6am-2:30pm)
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

• Hourly Rate: $29.87 - $39.14 / Hour
