Job Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Operational Control, this position supports the overall coordination and management of the company's centralized dispatch function for all flights. This includes ensuring all activities foster excellent customer service while maintaining the highest level of safety. This position ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day logistics requirements for all flight charters, resolving any issues that may arise and enacting quick turnaround contingency actions as required.
- Coordinate crew schedules with the appropriate personnel when irregular operations arise.
- Prepare and distribute daily trip packages and flight schedules.
- Occasionally review and approve landing fees, hotel invoices, taxi slips, and other miscellaneous invoices; as well as the monthly Nav Canada Aircraft movement billing for accuracy and process for invoicing and/or payment.
- Schedule maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Department and attend daily maintenance meetings.
- Provide back up and after-hours assistance to customer service attendants including, but not limited to, updating the computerized flight screen, providing customer service and check-in functions, as well as assisting with finding misplaced luggage.
- Work closely with maintenance and commercial departments to ensure each charter flight is coordinated appropriately.
- Report pilot sick days and absences to the crew scheduler, chief pilot, and payroll administrator.

Qualifications
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position include a high school diploma, with minimum two years' related work experience. Training or related experience in aviation is considered an asset.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Demonstrated high work standard related to accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
