As a Claims Management Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the prompt examination and administration of claims while meeting the operation goals and objectives of Global Excel Management .
What does your typical day look like?
- Oversee Claims Management Team Members;
- First point of contact for employees regarding procedural and workflow issues;
- Participate and provide feedback with Claims Managers regarding personnel activity concerning hiring, training, development, and evaluation of employee performance;
- Assure claims processing timeframes and deliveries are adhered to;
- Handle first level of disputes or complaints from clients/providers and escalate to manager when necessary;
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, monthly reports;
- Support and train employees on day-to-day operational functions;
- Implement process and workflow changes when required to ensure quality of work metrics are met, including but not limited to onboarding new business.
- A University degree or college diploma preferred, but not required;
- Full understanding of travel insurance, insurance terminology and case management; (an asset);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
- Show empathy, understanding and patience to customer needs and ability to deal with sensitive and stressful situations.
