Alpine Park is Calgary’s next-generation neighbourhood—a vibrant community where urban living meets the great outdoors. We are seeking an enthusiastic and welcoming individual to join our team as a Welcome Centre Host. If you love meeting new people, creating memorable experiences, and being part of a dynamic community, this role could be perfect for you.

Who are you?

You’re passionate about delivering exceptional service and making connections with people. You have a friendly, approachable personality and take pride in creating a positive first impression. You’re reliable, organized, and enjoy being part of a team that works together to shape an exciting community.

You bring energy and professionalism to your work, love interacting with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re proactive, flexible, and eager to learn, with a desire to help make Alpine Park a welcoming and engaging place for everyone.

What will you do?

Based out of our Alpine Park Welcome Centre, this role requires a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends to align with our showhome operations hours. This is a part-time role with the opportunity to work up to 34 hours per week.

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

As a Welcome Centre Host, your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcome Centre Operations:
    • Greeting visitors and providing information about Alpine Park and its offerings.
    • Performing administrative duties, including answering inquiries via email, phone, or website and booking appointments.
  • Event Support:
    • Acting as an on-site coordinator for events and activations, such as pop-ups, fitness programming, seasonal events, festivals, and showhome activities.
    • Assisting with event planning, partner coordination, and ensuring smooth on-site execution.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Serving as a liaison with builder partners to address community-related requests and questions.
    • Capturing photos and videos during events and activities to showcase the community experience.
  • Community Maintenance:
    • Supporting the upkeep of the Welcome Centre and surrounding community areas, including signage, landscaping, and community gardens.

What type of experience and skills do you have?

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A flexible schedule, including availability on evenings and weekends.
  • Experience in customer service or community engagement (events background is an asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Mailchimp or Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus.
  • A creative mindset and attention to detail.

Bonus if you have:

  • Your own vehicle for travel between locations.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Welcome Centre Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 2 PM – 8 PM
  • Saturday – Sunday: 12 PM – 5 PM
  • Friday: Closed

Please note that these days and times are subject to change based on business needs. Flexibility is appreciated.
