Security Guard

We are seeking highly motivated security personnel to support our clients in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries, with a focus on asset protection. The ideal candidates must be available for casual, on-call shifts and able to travel to multiple sites across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Position Overview:

Wages: $18.00/hr+ (depending on site)

Shift timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends. Preference for those who can work different types of shifts)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Assist with coverages at various sites to enhance security at strategic locations.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 6 months minimum of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• G or G2 class drivers' licence is required. Vehicle is required to travel to the sites.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
