We are looking for a Financial Analyst who will be based out of DarkVision’s head office in North Vancouver, Canada. Reporting to DarkVision’s Director of Finance, this role combines a wide spectrum of finance duties and responsibilities that will support DarkVision’s growth.
You’ll be a key part of our growing finance team at DarkVision, a fast-growing tech company which is developing new products and entering new markets. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be personable and a great communicator, as you will be working with our customers, as well as our internal teams. The work is fast paced, interesting, and we promise you’ll never have a dull day!
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth financial operations while contributing valuable insights to drive business growth. You must be practical, detail-oriented, excellent with Excel and financial statements and able to adapt to the changing business needs of a growing tech company. This is an entry level position, and while no experience is required to apply, candidates with a year or two or work experience in a fast-paced corporate environment will be at an advantage.
What You Will Do
For this role, we anticipate paying $50,000 to $75,000 per year.

What You Will Do
- Management Reporting: You must be excellent with Excel and have a strong foundation in financial statements. Working with the Director of Finance and the CFO you’ll be modelling our financial future using cutting edge analytical tools.
- Working with customers: You’ll be working directly with our customers and internal Ops and Sales team to ensure that we have the tightest, friendliest and fastest process for getting our customer successfully onboarded. You’ll manage and process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation. With growing revenue, new products and geographic expansion, this work will be highly visible and critical to the company.
- Everything & Anything: There will be a wide assortment of standard and not-so-standard tasks that you’ll be expected to complete. No task is either above or beneath anyone at DarkVision.
- Education/Experience: Finance, Business or Accounting Bachelor’s degree with 0=2 years of experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- General Competence: At DarkVision, there is a very high bar for general all-around competence and the ability to get things done quickly, thoroughly, and effectively without compromising quality.
- Communication: You must be comfortable reaching out and connecting with staff across the organization to succeed. Building excellent working relationships with the team will be meaningful in this role.
- Attention to Detail: We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented and enjoys keeping themselves and the people around them organized.
- Development: A natural curiosity, an eagerness to learn, and being receptive to coaching and constructive feedback is necessary for success in this role.
