Midtown is looking for a Maintenance Associate to ensure that our facilities run smoothly.

As an integral part of the facilities team the candidate would ensure a safe, clean and functional environment for members, guests, and associates.

Maintenance Associate responsibilities:

  • Consistently presenting a pleasant, attentive and courteous attitude toward members, guests and fellow associates
  • Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair systems and equipment on a daily basis
  • Providing regular upkeep and maintenance of all club property and equipment
  • Maintaining knowledge of facilities and following through on preventative maintenance standards
  • Complete tasks assigned through our ticketing system; flag and report issues

Maintenance Associate requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance or graduated from a trades school
  • Have working knowledge in one or all of the following: mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and/or painting
  • Possess functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs of facilities and plant equipment
  • Experienced with cardio machines, gym equipment, maintaining pools, spas, and steam rooms - considered an asset
  • Are able to identify and troubleshoot facility and equipment related issues
  • Able to work with a team or independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to work under pressure, have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Able to sufficiently prioritize work
  • Effective communicator, demonstrate written and verbal communication skills, write reports and complete forms
  • Able to respond to infrequent afterhours emergencies using your own means of transportation
  • Flexible with occasional changing work schedule to accommodate colleagues and club needs
  • Taking pride in themselves and their work
