OTR Tire Technician

We are seeking a new OTR Tire Technician for our Saskatoon mixed store. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by performing passenger and light truck, fleet and OTR vehicle tire removal, installation and repairs.

Day to Day Responsibilities
- Perform tire removal, installation, and repair services safely for commercial, light and OTR tires. This includes removing wheel assemblies, dismounting tires, inflating and installing repaired or new tires, and reinstalling wheel assemblies according to standard operating procedures.
- Drive and operate the crane truck to transport tools, equipment, and OTR tires to customer locations, often in remote or rugged terrain.
- Position the truck securely and stabilize it using outriggers before crane operation.
- Use the crane to load, unload, and position OTR tires, which can weigh thousands of pounds.
- Use specialized tools to remove old tires from heavy equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, and graders.
- Conduct diagnostics, evaluate the reparability of damage, and choose and complete proper repair methods.
- Perform field repairs on punctures or minor damage to extend tire life.
- Operating heavy-duty tire servicing equipment and tools, conduct repairs, inspections, and calibrations with precision and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications and Success
- You have a strong mechanical ability and the ability to solve problems on the spot.
- Crane Truck Certification (Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to excel in a physical environment and easily lift 50 lbs.
- Safety mindset, ready to wear all required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
