About Your Next Challenge As a Systems Architect

Job Description:

• Lead architecture design for embedded real-time SOC platforms, including BSP and boot;
• Work with Product Owners and Software Engineers to scope and plan development activities;
• Lead design and development of new solutions and resolve design and software problems;
• Participate in design and code reviews of the system software under development;
• Manage the software requirements and ensure their satisfying through verification and validation activities such as running tests cases;
• Collaborate with other engineers to resolve technical issues;
• Conduct and prepare presentations and demonstrations.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field;
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development;
• Strong knowledge and experience with embedded software architecture, design and development in C/C++;
• Familiar with real-time operating systems (RTOS);
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git);
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities;
• Strong attention to detail and quality;
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  
  
  

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with FPGA is an asset;
• Proficiency in hardware design and debugging is an asset;
• Experience in military systems and standards for embedded is an asset;
• Experience with or knowledge of virtualization and containerization, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and HyperV is an asset;
• Experience designing and developing highly available, fault tolerant and distributed systems is an asset;
  
  
  

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
• Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
