Low Voltage Quality Specialist

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre (MEC) and/or Oshawa Elevation Centre (OEC) three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
Low Voltage Quality Specialist is needed to ensure continuity with Low Voltage Electric Power domain, maintaining high quality focus and customer interface significantly above the warranty target. This position serves as the “voice of the customer” supporting the Low Voltage Electric Power team, acting as gatekeepers for Warranty IPTV/Compass/J.D. Power and Warranty Spend, leading efforts towards quality across all programs and addressing customer issues with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and other teams.
Low Voltage Quality Specialist is responsible for improving customer satisfaction by leading product resolution of warranty claims and enhancing key customer satisfaction survey results.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities include:
The main task is to ensure customer satisfaction by analyzing data from various sources including DTC and State-of-Charge (SOC) data through OnStar and dealer warranty claims.
- Analyze warranty and OnStar telemetric data, categorize and track claims by MOB (Make Or Buy).
- Lead review sessions with stakeholders to communicate program status and request updates on issue resolution.
- Interact closely with the Electric Power team to analyze data from OnStar.
- Use dashboards to track battery SOC from plant to customer.
- Ensure correct issue partitioning and capture in the issues tracking system, driving design changes to closure.
- Track trends, Pareto issues, and prioritize resolutions.
- Follow up on Field Product Reports (FPRs) and respond to launch calls and service garage issues promptly.
- Compile in-plant data to identify and contain issues before they reach the field.
- Contribute to Lessons Learned activities, feeding insights into programs.
- Maintain Top 20 issues list and report to Continuous Product Improvement Team (CPIT).
- Support common issue sharing between vehicle programs.
- Keep teams updated on QRD status.
- Support post-launch field issue identification and analysis of 12V data.
- Compare customer performance with CTF fleet performance.
- Balance multiple tasks to achieve corporate quality goals globally.
- Manage financial aspects while improving quality performance.
- Lead discussions with regional QRD engineers globally.
- Travel may be required, estimated at not exceeding 10% of total time.
- Communicate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams for success.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- BS or BEng. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience with automotive systems preferred.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Experience with Electromechanical design & diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with problem-solving capabilities.
- Automotive development experience and knowledge of the Vehicle Development Process.
- High interpersonal skill level for effective teamwork.
- Analytical abilities for difficult problems.
- Experience with DFMEA.

- Design Release experience preferred.
- Experience with Low Voltage Systems preferred.
- DFSS Green Belt (Black Belt preferred).
