As a Design Coordinator working in the Major Projects team, you will collaborate closely with the Design Manager to synchronize all design-related tasks for projects in the Design & Build mode that are currently underway. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the success of our design related projects.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $94,000 - $127,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.

As a Design Coordinator working in the Major Projects team, you will collaborate closely with the Design Manager to synchronize all design-related tasks for projects in the Design & Build mode that are currently underway. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the success of our design related projects.
What You Will Do
- Support in the leadership of design workshops and drafting meeting minutes.
- Act as a key contributor in meetings between the designers and our selected suppliers.
- Utilize your keen eye for detail in identifying areas of non-compliance as it relates to the CC Contract.
- Review and support the management of the design schedule with your meticulous tracking of real-time project tracking.
- Own and manage the input and information requests from the Designers (analyzing relevance, tracking, and validation of transmission).
- Actively support in the Request for Information (RFI) process to the client (validity and relevance of requests).
- Act as a key player in coordinating project design choices as it relates to work orientations, procurement, subcontractors and suppliers.
- You are a stickler for deadlines and are always ahead of the review deadlines.
- Diligently review all client and CI (Contractor's Information) comments, initiating the appropriate response or correction process.
- Actively support in the QRT (Quality Review Team) process (validating questions, tracking, and transmitting responses).
- Play a pivotal role in guiding the designers in preparing elements for presentations to key stakeholders.
- You have successfully completed a technician's diploma in architecture or engineering.
- You also have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or any other relevant education.
- You have 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry.
