Cabin Appearance Supervisor

Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Job Summary: The Cabin Appearance Supervisor leads, directs, and coordinates the efforts of ground, line, and cabin service personnel. This role involves ensuring the timely delivery of services for airlines as contracted, with accountability for safety, operation standards, policy implementation, client relations, and financial performance for ramp operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Establishing shift assignments for both fulltime and part-time employees.
- Monitoring and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment.
- Reporting discrepancies that may exist both functional and mechanical on the ground support equipment.
- Coordinating with each assigned carrier to ensure that service for cargo and baggage meets their needs to ensure on-time schedules are met.
- Responsible for equipment and ensuring its safe and efficient operating status.
- Conferring with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities with other departments.
- Determining manpower requirements; ensuring disciplinary procedures are conducted fairly, timely, and consistently.
- Performing cosmetic arrangements of seat belts, headrests, etc.
- Preparing the cabin for customer boarding and departure, including cleaning of seats, seat pockets, floor, galleys, and lavatories.
- Cleaning and servicing aircraft interiors, including cabin, cockpit, galleys, and lavatories.
- Checking, handling, assembling, removing, and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies according to specifications, ensuring all areas are free of dirt, debris, marks, fingerprints, etc.
- Assisting ramp agents when cabin cleaning is complete.
- Complying with attendance/tardiness standards.
- Able to perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints.
- Ensuring necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights.
- Reading and interpreting aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, and baggage routing tags.
- Following all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier rules and regulations.
- Ensuring crews are briefed before flights on positions to take and how the flight will work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Computer experience (6+ months) and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to navigate electronic devices (computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc.).
- A proven track record in supervising a business unit.
- Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.
- A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
- Understanding of commercial issues in aviation.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Capable of processing information in a timely manner.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Proficient in English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Previous ramp or airline experience.
- Must complete all training requirements and maintain certifications.
- Must clear a FBI fingerprint background check.
Physical Requirements
- Physically fit to perform job duties including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions with exposure to loud noises.
Specific Working Hours
- Flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holiday-specific shifts as needed.
- Available to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
