Lead Product Manager

Reporting to the Product Management Leader, the Lead Product Manager will be responsible for the development, delivery, and management of Interac Verified, which offers a suite of secure verification and authentication solutions enabling Canadians to access government and business services requiring personal data verification.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Product Manager (Technical). You will work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business needs and contribute to the success of our software products.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Planning:

  • Define and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business goals and market opportunities.

  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize features based on impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

  • Optimize processes and implement product improvements with teams.

Technical Expertise:

  • Bridge and translate technical expertise about the platform and integration to business stakeholders.

  • Manage API integrations and third-party tools.

  • Ensure the product meets security standards and compliance requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.

  • Collaborate with engineering to assess technical feasibility and manage the product backlog.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Align efforts with engineering, clients, and support teams to ensure smooth product delivery.

  • Oversee product releases, ensuring quality and timeliness, while coordinating with marketing and sales for go-to-market strategies.

  • Act as the main contact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates and insights.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Measure key performance metrics and use data to drive product decisions and improvements.

  • Incorporate user feedback and analytics to refine the product and prioritize enhancements.

You Bring:

  • Experience: 8+ years in technical product management, preferably in SaaS or software development.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and software development processes.

  • Agile Experience: Proficient in Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze challenges and turn them into actionable plans.

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with various teams.

  • Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills for complex technical issues.

  • Communication: Excellent skills in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Product Metrics: Experience tracking KPIs and using data to guide decisions.

  • Eligibility: To work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Familiarity with cloud platforms or relevant certifications.

  • API Knowledge: Experience with API development and integration strategies.

  • SaaS Development: Experience in building and scaling SaaS products.

  • Security & Compliance: Understanding of security protocols and data privacy.
