As Alida's Principal User Research Strategist, you'll drive the strategic positioning of our UX research platform by bridging the gap between sales, product, and our customers. In this role, you'll serve as the subject matter expert during the sales process while simultaneously shaping our product roadmap through deep market understanding and customer insights. You'll collaborate with product management to ensure our solution evolves to meet the changing needs of UX researchers, while enabling our sales team with strategic narratives and best practices that resonate with prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales organization to articulate the strategic value of Alida's platform within enterprise UX research programs, participating in key sales opportunities and helping to close strategic deals;
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive market intelligence about UX research trends, competitor capabilities, and customer needs to inform product strategy;
  • Consult with prospects and customers on UX research best practices, program design, and optimization strategies;
  • Collaborate with product management to identify market opportunities, define feature requirements, and prioritize product investments;
  • Create enablement materials, sales tools, and thought leadership content that positions Alida's unique value proposition in the UX research space;
  • Build strong relationships with customer UX leaders to understand their evolving needs and challenges;
  • Guide the product marketing team in developing compelling narratives and materials that resonate with UX research buyers;
  • Provide voice-of-customer feedback to inform product direction and roadmap priorities;
  • Represent Alida at industry events through speaking engagements and thought leadership activities.

Desired Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in UX research, with demonstrated expertise in both strategic program design and hands-on research execution;
  • Proven track record of supporting complex B2B software sales cycles and articulating technical solutions to business stakeholders;
  • Experience influencing product strategy and working closely with product management teams;
  • Deep understanding of enterprise UX research programs, including team structure, tools, methodologies, and success metrics;
  • Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and when to apply them;
  • Experience scaling research operations and implementing research platforms in enterprise environments;
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences from C-suite to practitioners;
  • Track record of creating compelling content, whether through blogs, webinars, or speaking engagements;
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate research insights into business value;
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in HCI, Psychology, or related field preferred;
  • Experience with Alida's platform or similar enterprise research tools is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel up for customer meetings and industry events.

Additional details:

  • The final salary for this role will depend on experience, with the range in Canada being $160,000-170,000 CAD.
  • We are open to applicants across Canada, however our focus locations are Toronto and Vancouver to be close to one of our offices.
