Position Overview
The Supply Planner is responsible for the continuous supply of finished goods for the assigned portfolio from multiple global supply locations to meet service level expectations and inventory goals, defining and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory according to customer demand and company objectives.
The incumbent will lead Supply Planning activities and work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Finance, Customer Service, Regulatory & Quality teams, linking with the Global Planning organizations to ensure End-to-End visibility and synchronicity through the supply chain.
This person will integrate supply information in the S&OP Cycle and contribute to the maturity of the process towards IBP (Integrated Business Planning).
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Supply Planning and Inventory Management processes for assigned portfolio.
- Ensure target inventory levels are optimized to fulfill service level targets, utilizing Inventory Entitlement tools.
- Maintain planning parameters in SAP APO to ensure demand and supply sync.
- Participate in the S&OP process by leading Supply Reviews with partners.
- Identify and resolve risks affecting product flow.
- Lead supply plan and strategies for NPI and Phase-in Phase-out with business partners.
- Benchmark global standard processes, apply analytics tools, and leverage continuous improvement methodologies to attain targets.
- Ensure partnership and alignment with key stakeholders: commercial organizations, local and regional supply chain organizations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Management.
- Own critical metrics related to assigned product portfolio (Including OTIF, SLOB Inventory, Back Orders, etc.).
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; focused on Supply Chain or Engineering preferred. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
Required:
- Relevant professional work experience.
- Experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, or Logistics.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proven enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity, with a passion for process improvement.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Highly developed organizational skills.
- Solutions-focused and committed to action.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience with Demand/Supply/Inventory Planning systems and processes, preferably SAP APO.
- APICS Certification.
