Description
AWS Cloud Optimization Success team is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Technical who will work with the AWS Cloud Optimization Guidance team to define and maintain guidance for business and technical architectural guidance in accordance with the AWS Cloud Adoption and Well-Architected Frameworks. We want to help our customers understand how the best practices from the AWS Cloud Adoption and Well-Architected Frameworks apply to their business, environment, workload, and operational excellence, enabling them to adopt cloud and operate secure, reliable, performant, cost efficient, and sustainable workloads while delivering business value.
You will be the Product Manager that owns the business model and P&L, prioritization of the product roadmap, customer segmentation, and demand generation. You will work across engineering, COS Guidance team, and marketing leads to set strategy, define the product, and make the difficult, high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market. You will partner with the technical leaders of the organization to ensure our guidance delights our customers. As one of the team leaders, you will help set the vision, values, and culture of this business.

The base salary for this position ranges from $135,700/year up to $226,500/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Key job responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and ensure the product meets their needs.
- Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, COS Guidance, Product Management, Solution Architecture, Business Development, and Marketing) through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
- Author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
- Work collaboratively with COS Guidance as an advocate for the needs of our customers
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust the product strategy accordingly.
- Define and track key metrics to measure the success of the product and inform future decisions.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
- Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
