The Vancouver School Board welcomes applications for the position of:
On-Call Supervision Aides (East Side Vancouver Schools)
Salary: $26.82 per hour, plus 16% in lieu of benefits
Hours: 2.5 per day from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (September to June)
On-Call Employees are expected to be available to work Monday to Friday with a minimum requirement of three days per week and accept shifts on short notice

IO In this role you will be:
- Responsible for supervising students during recess and lunch, indoors and outdoors, in all kinds of weather.
- Ensure student safety and that students comply with school rules.
- Intervene in potentially unsafe play situations and facilitate conflict resolutions between students.
- Required to supervise students between recess and lunch, ensuring appropriate behaviour and completion of teacher assigned work.
- Walking and standing for the duration of the shift, which is mostly outdoors.
- Required to circulate the school grounds, focus on your surroundings and remain alert at all times.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in large groups
- Good communication skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather
- Ability to speak languages common to ESL students is an asset
