Position Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse/ Operations Floater will work to ensure our product is moving safely, efficiently and meeting our customer’s expectation. This person will work closely with our warehouse team, dispatchers, drivers, customers and all other internal/external staff to ensure that customer satisfaction is enhanced.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse/ Operations Floater will work to ensure our product is moving safely, efficiently and meeting our customer’s expectation. This person will work closely with our warehouse team, dispatchers, drivers, customers and all other internal/external staff to ensure that customer satisfaction is enhanced.
What You Will Do
- Participate in a culture where Health & Safety is the #1 priority and complies with all regulatory and company safety requirements.
- Follow procedures to ensure the accurate, efficient, and safe operation of all equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrap machines).
- Report all building failures, including dock, equipment, lighting, floors, etc.
- Support warehouse and dispatch team with planning, scheduling, dispatching and customer service items.
- Ensure system accuracy to reflect expectations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, response times, and proper email etiquette.
- Keep Operations and Terminal Management apprised of all problems encountered, driver issues, customer’s comments and/or related issues.
- Liaise with Interline Carriers, Operators, and Super Operators to coordinate drivers and communicate our expectations.
- Be aware of Drivers Hours of Service and pending weather issues.
- Maintain satisfactory levels of on time delivery by ensuring all targeted deliveries are made on schedule and advise in advance of any foreseen issues.
- Liaise with warehouse and other inner office departments on problems encountered, customer’s comments and related issues.
- 1-2 years warehouse and Dispatch experience.
- 2-5 years Forklift experience (Certified).
- Transportation industry experience would be a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
- Excellent computer skills, experience in TruckMate a strong asset.
- Ability to adapt to periods of downtime and influxes of high volume work.
