Your role as a Human Resources Business Partner

You have a solid experience with HR practices and processes, as well as strong business acumen and organizational development background? You build strong relationships with people at all levels of the organization and quickly develop credibility with Senior management? You provide sound advice, share new ideas and provide solutions to support managers and have a continuous improvement mindset? This opportunity is for you!

The incumbent oversees all strategic and operational human resources matters for specific client groups and ensures the alignment with our business goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as an advisor on all HR matters with line management and provide daily HR guidance.
  • Work in close collaboration with the business to understand and support business priorities and goals by recommending appropriate strategies and tools consistent with good HR practices.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition and the business related to recruiting needs.
  • Coach and guide the business related to performance management.
  • Facilitate talent management and succession planning discussions.
  • Identify development needs for teams and individuals, assess programs, and facilitate specific workshops and training sessions.
  • Support management related to compensation matters (new roles, promotions, annual salary review process, etc.).
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships and employee engagement, and ultimately productivity and retention.
  • Support leave of absence and immigration cases as needed in collaboration with the HR Coordinator & immigration cases
  • Analyze trends and metrics with the HR department.
  • Recommend and develop new HR policies, processes and programs to continuously improve our offerings.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 7 years of experience in HR, including working knowledge in a true HR business partnership model; solid background in organizational development (process improvement, transformations and organizational design, performance management, employee engagement, facilitation, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, Masters’ degree an asset.
  • Fluently Bilingual, both French and English verbal and written skills.
  • Member of l’Ordre des CRHA du Québec a strong asset.
  • Experience as a people manager within or outside HR an asset.
  • Customer focused, business acumen.
  • Proactive, results oriented, strong sense of urgency and strive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage heavy workload and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical and goal oriented.
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and good practices.

This role requires strong English skills to interact with global colleagues outside Quebec. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
