Job Description
TD Commercial Banking services the unique needs of Canadian businesses, customizing a broad range of products. As part of the Commercial Banking team, the Relationship Manager works with an Analyst in supporting a portfolio of customers with borrowings in the $1 million to $15 million range.
Working as a member of the Commercial Banking team, the Account Manager is the face of the Bank in the market they serve. The Account Manager is responsible for both credit and non-credit services, with a portfolio that usually includes some non-borrowing clients. This position is supported by a Manager Commercial Services who provides ongoing credit and sales management expertise.
The Account Manager structures and packages practical and competitive solutions that demonstrate an understanding of clients' unique financing, cash management, and business support needs. The role involves structuring credits, completing necessary due diligence, establishing pricing and terms of credit, and producing ongoing credit reviews and risk ratings that reflect knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
With respect to business development, the Account Manager develops and broadens relationships with existing customers by cross-selling relevant and value-added financial products and services. Building new relationships through referrals from customers and other sources is a priority.
Job Requirements:
In addition to an undergraduate degree in business or a relevant professional designation, 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Account Manager in a business or agricultural banking environment is ideal. Alternatively, experience in another profession that supports business needs is acceptable. Well-developed analytical, relationship management, and business development skills are required.
