What we are looking for:

Under the supervision of the Senior Analyst, Private Markets, the Analyst is responsible for supporting governance and coordination activities of the Private Markets CIO Office: investment risk management, valuations oversight, performance analysis, investment due diligence, liquidity management, transparency reports, and other related tasks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Fiera Private Markets Solutions team by monitoring investments and cash activities, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and managing the Private Markets Queue (PMQ) system;
  • Support the month-end process by reviewing and reporting the performance of the Fiera Private Markets Funds;
  • Conduct due diligence on Private Markets investments and develop policies and procedures to align with the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI) principles;
  • Complete Quarterly Reviews of internal and external managers, comprising investment and operational overviews;
  • Assist in preparing materials prior to internal and external meetings, capturing meeting minutes, and saving all documents, reports, and notes in the relevant internal systems;
  • Conduct market research for valuation and risk assessment, and stay updated on industry trends;
  • Monitor the Fiera Private Markets Funds risk exposures and maintain the Proprietary Scoring Models;
  • Conduct Performance Analysis using tools such as eVestment;
  • Respond to various RFPs, RFIs, and Ad Hoc requests related to the Fiera Private Markets Solutions Funds;
  • Assist the Private Markets Solutions and CIO Office with any investment and operational related tasks;
  • Improve efficiency by automating different internal processes and reporting;

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field;
  • Professional designation in finance (CFA, CAIA, CBV, FRM, PRM) considered an asset;
  • MBA or Finance related Master’s degree also considered an asset;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Proven knowledge of financial markets;
  • Understanding of the general portfolio management process;
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills, able to prioritize, make decisions under ambiguity, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Work well in a dynamic, fast-moving team-based environment;
  • Process oriented, curious; organized; autonomous, interpersonal;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to think independently when dealing with stakeholders that have conflicting needs;
  • Must be comfortable programming in at least two of the following languages: SQL, VBA, VB.NET, PYTHON, C#, R, MATLAB;
  • Mastery of software applications such as Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong French and English oral and written communication skills.
