The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing the entire recruitment cycle. They work closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to find ideal candidates to build our highly dynamic workforce.
They are responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective employees, all while factoring in the long-term goals of Irving Shipbuilding and promoting our brand through recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities
- Attract, Source, Select and Secure the right talent
- Execute the recruitment process for all candidates including screening interviews and working closely with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to determine candidate suitability
- Liaise with leadership team to ensure that hiring forecasts are current
- Build referral networks and candidate pools through schools, social media and external networking sources
- Identify new market opportunities to target for top talent
- Help develop and execute recruitment strategy
- Research and understand industry trends and benchmarking
- Manage key performance indicators for recruiting activities on a weekly basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) Designation would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated recruitment experience within a fast-paced organized
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System
- Demonstrated success at cross-functional collaboration at all levels
- Ability to positively represent the organization’s brand in the candidate market
