Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development team, based in the Calgary, AB office and have the opportunity to work with a great team.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Survey Layout for all stages of subdivision construction including rough grading, underground and surface installations
- Perform UAV flights to collect aerial photos and topographical information
- Prepare surfaces using photogrammetry software
- Topographical survey for quantity calculations
- Pickup grades and locations of existing utilities and/or features for design purposes
- Download ASCM sheets for initial site surveys and localizations
- Use GIS software such as Pix4d and Propeller to process and analyze geographical data collected during drone operations
- Maintain and repair drones and related equipment as needed
- Plan and map interpretation
- Preparing field notes and sketches
- Use and maintenance of GPS survey instruments, Total Stations, Data Collectors and Levels
What your experience looks like
- Minimum of five years’ experience as Party Chief / UAV Operator
- Preference will be given to candidates with subdivision construction survey experience
- Degree or Diploma in Geomatics, Engineering Technology or related field from a recognized institution is an asset
- UAV Operation and Maintenance
- Strong 3D drone skills using RTK, PPK, or GCP
- Valid Canadian Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate (RPAS Ground School and Flight Review)
- Knowledge of survey field data transfer software and general computer software/applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment and independently
- Valid driver’s license
