PACE TEACHER - Grade 6/7

Effective: Immediately - open ended

The Successful Candidate Will

Provide within a congregated class, a program designed to challenge and meet the needs of students who are identified as gifted

Differentiate the Ministry curriculum to provide learning experiences of a depth and breadth beyond those normally provided within the classroom program

Required Qualifications/Experience

Special Education Specialist, or at least 2 years in accumulated experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher.

Junior Division Qualifications

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

Teaching experience at the Intermediate level

TRIBES Training

Experience in use of assistive technology and interactive whiteboard

Math Or Science Qualifications

Experience extending units of study to challenge students performing at Level 4

Experience with students with a learning disability and other learning challenges
