Training and Documentation Analyst

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (“CC&LFG”) is looking for a Training and Documentation Analyst to join our Vancouver-based Investment Resource Group (“IRG”)! The ideal candidate is a highly detailed-oriented problem-solver and sees learning new skills and being a team player as both enjoyable and necessary for a high performing team.
The Training and Documentation team is an independent group within the Investment Resource Group (IRG) that performs several essential services. They include:
- Ensuring that new staff are onboarded successfully by providing initial hands-on training which can last from one day to several weeks
- Ensuring that the IRG’s procedure documentation is kept current
- Coordinating staff movements within IRG
- Maintenance of our Certificate of Authorized Signatories list
- Working on various projects

What You Will Do
- Onboarding and providing application overviews of new employees into the department across all offices
- Ensure that new employees have access to the appropriate software systems used by pre-testing before the employee joins the department
- Maintain the staff onboarding checklist and coordinate staff movements (onboarding, off-boarding, internal movements) within the department
- Responsible for the maintenance of the IRG’s documentation model. This includes:
- Working with the IRG Senior Managers, Managers and Staff to determine which processes need to be documented
- Assisting the Staff with formatting, language and structure of the documents
- Creating and reviewing documentation process workflow diagrams
- Setting deadlines for completion of documentation and working with the IRG Managers and Team Leaders to ensure these deadlines are being met
- Coordinate and maintain user access and perform an annual review for custodian/prime broker portals
- Maintain and update our Certificate of Authorized Signatories list for changes in staff
- Training of new staff based on team requirements
- Assist with IRG projects, as required
What You Will Bring
- Financial Knowledge: Undergraduate degree in Commerce (Finance preferred) or Economics. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course or an equivalent would be an asset.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the finance/investment management industry would be an asset.
- Attention to Detail: Aptitude to understand the big picture but still be very detail oriented.
- Problem Solving/Analytical Mind: Proven ability to think logically and problem solve effectively. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, dealing with changes and interruptions while maintaining strict deadlines.
- Curiosity for Learning: Interest in learning about different aspects of the investment business.
- Collaborative Communication: You have a collaborative spirit that helps you work well with others and you communicate effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Proven ability to learn new systems quickly and use them effectively and efficiently.
- Training Skills: Experience in training and/or coaching personnel is a definite asset.
The starting salary for this position is $70,000. The starting salary provided reflects the base salary for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position.
