High School Physical Education & CALM
Education and Experience
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
Exemplary, evidence-based instructional practices in high school Physical Education and Career & Life Management.
Experience, confidence, skill, knowledge, and understanding of Alberta Program of Studies for high school PE .
Creativity in planning varied on and off campus activities for High School PE .
Capacity to differentiate instructional practices and use effective student engagement strategies to promote activity and wellness .
Collaboration with staff team in developing innovative learning experiences for students .
Willingness to coach extracurricular sports teams at a high school level .
Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents .
Willingness to adapt and grow in a constantly evolving environment.
Competent in using online learning support tools such as MS 365 for Education, Schoology, GradeCam , etc.

- Our junior high campus serves over 450 students in grades 7-9, while our high school campus, launched in September 2022 in the University Innovation Quarter, has rapidly grown to host 710 students with plans to reach a capacity of 1,000 students in Fall 20
