We are seeking a skilled ERP DevOps Manager to lead our ERP DevOps team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of our core capabilities and technologies by managing the ERP platform and development team that support two of the major business segments in Bunzl Canada.
The successful candidate will report to the Director, IT.

The successful candidate will report to the Director, IT.
Responsibilities
- As the Manager of the ERP Development team, work closely with the leaders of the Support and Development teams to architect and implement fixes, new ERP features, and new integrations.
- As an experienced Developer/Architect, develop new and improve existing end-to-end interactions between the ERP and the third-party solutions, which combined form a comprehensive business solution.
- Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize legacy ERP systems and contribute to the thought-leadership of the ERP’s modernization and optimization roadmap.
- Lead DevOps team meetings, participate in backlog review meetings with the Product Owners to review status and resolve roadblocks, and provide guidance to other development team members.
- Perform and assist in coding tasks, debugging existing programs, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for back-end and application issues and work with all teams to enhance and optimize existing applications to improve performance and stability.
- Performance management, training, and mentoring of the DevOps team.
- Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in full software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and Agile product development.
- Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with coaching and inspiring others to be their best.
- 10+ years experience as an iSeries Developer and Architect.
- Strong expertise in COBOL, RPG, CL, SQL, and other iSeries programming languages.
- Nice to have:
- Experience with LANSA development tools - Visual LANSA, LANSA for the Web.
- Experience with ERP and related business systems and processes in Distribution Industry settings.
