As a Category Manager you will be responsible for the following

  • Prepare and Negotiate food and material supply agreements to ensure optimal combination of cost and product quality.
  • Maintain vendor agreements and project timelines.
  • Manage and Audit contract pricing and program monies.
  • Manage product development with vendors based on concept chef’s requirements.
  • Work closely with Concept Leads, Marketing and Executive Chefs to drive brand identity models.
  • Manage Vendors and Distribution relationships to support the procurement and logistic functions.
  • Conduct business reviews, recap existing product plans, sales performance, and new opportunities.
  • Source and arrange product samples for culinary development.
  • Establish and enforce product quality and service levels for all restaurants.
  • Keep current with corporate objectives and assist purchasing team to ensure objective targets are met.
  • Effectively communicate new programs to culinary teams and operations
  • Organize plant tours for development opportunities and audit purposes.


Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and deadlines-oriented environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in food service/food related role
  • Knowledge of distribution is an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain the ability to prioritize, multi-task, self-motivate and work with high levels of confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organization skills
