We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Databricks Platform & AI Expert - Blackbelt to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge data solutions leveraging the power of the Cloud, Databricks platform and AI/ML technologies. You will act as a thought leader, guiding our organization in maximizing the value of data through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI/ML-powered applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of data solutions:
• Architect and build scalable, high-performance data pipelines on the Databricks platform, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and processing.
• Leverage Databricks Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and MLflow to build robust and efficient data solutions.
• Integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines and applications to enhance data analysis, improve decision-making, and automate tasks.
• Drive innovation and best practices:
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Databricks, data engineering, and AI/ML technologies.
• Conduct research and evaluate new technologies and tools to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Develop and implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Databricks ecosystem.
• Act as a thought leader and consultant:
• Provide expert guidance and consultation to stakeholders on data architecture, data engineering, and AI/ML strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend optimal architectures and solutions for complex data challenges.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the data platform.
• Develop and finalize implementation roadmaps for data projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Mentorship and collaboration:
• Mentor junior data engineers and data scientists on best practices and technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., data science, business analysts, software engineers) to deliver successful data projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in the Databricks platform:
• Deep understanding of core Databricks services (e.g., Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark SQL, MLflow, Notebooks).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and performant data pipelines and solutions on the Databricks platform.
• Should have successfully completed Databricks Champion Program
• Data engineering and development skills:
• Expertise in data engineering best practices, including data modeling, data quality, data governance, and data security.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Scala.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills:
• Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
• Communication and collaboration skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
