Agilus is recruiting for a PLC Technician in the Automotive industry in Windsor, Ontario.
A Typical Day
- Develop and maintain PLC control systems using Allen Bradley Studio 5000
- Maintain Safety equipment such as Safety PLCs, light Curtains, Fanuc DCS
- Develop and maintain HMI systems using Allen Bradley Factory Talk View ME Software
- Understand and control ABB and Fanuc Robots, including app errors and functions
- Install and maintain SEW, Allen Bradley and Nidec/Comau Frequency Drives
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows-based control systems, DeviceNet, and Ethernet networks, including RsNetWorx
- Troubleshoot and maintain sealer/adhesive systems, resistance and MIG welding, belt transfers, and robotic material handling systems
- Adhere to CSA safety standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry-specific safety guidelines
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering, or equivalent, and/or with 5 years controls experience
- Proficient in RsNetworx
- Experience in automotive manufacturing including Sealer/Adhesive, Resistance and Mig welding, Belt transfers, and robotic material handling
- Proficiency in Windows and networking
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Long term contract role
- Competitive per hour rates
