Short Summary

Front Desk Agents manage, book, service and execute all EdgeWalk reservations and products including all cash, debit and credit card handling. Their duties include up-selling products, internal and external communication and assisting Imaging Agents. They are to maximize capacity to effectively fill all available time slots within the EdgeWalk operating day. They are also responsible for providing guests with extraordinary service and information on all aspects of the EdgeWalk experience and of the CN Tower.

They will also be cross-trained as an Imaging Agent and will monitor and maintain the entire photo/video network and the photo/video equipment. They are required to create, edit and author all individual high definition videos and create, edit and print all group and single shot photos for each of EdgeWalk guest. They will also prepare each portfolio package identifying and arranging the appropriate certificate, photos and videos for each. They will maximize photo and video sales through up-selling.

Job Description

To greet, up sell and book guests into various timeslots for the EdgeWalk.

Open and close the front desk area according to standard operating procedures.

Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards with a solid product knowledge.

Respond to all external guest bookings and inquiries via e-mail, phone and fax, securely storing data where appropriate.

Book and process all walk-in guests and ensure transactions are completed in a timely and friendly manner.

Solicit guests for the EdgeWalk in and around the CN Tower.

Ensure all guest documentation is collected, complete and correctly stored.

Completes an initial screening of the guests to ensure compliance of EdgeWalk safety guidelines.

Carry out consultations with guests to determine their eligibility for wheelchair accessible tours.

Manage requests for last minute changes to reservations, group sizing, timing etc.

Qualifications

A diploma from a secondary school is required. Prior face to face customer service experience is preferred. Previous experience working with cash/debit/credit card systems an asset. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Working Conditions

Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.

Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes but is not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

Ability to work in varying weather conditions (including but not limited to cold and hot weather, rain and windy conditions).
