Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role: Reporting to the Store Manager (or his/her delegate), the Receiving Associate is responsible to receive incoming products and handle product return, replacement etc. This position also needs to provide good service to vendors and staff, and keep the receiving equipment and workplace in a good status.

Major Responsibilities

  • Check the quantity, weight and quality of products during receiving; process & sort related invoices and documents.
  • Assist Department Heads to handle products returned & replaced; manage shrinkage & examine obsolete items.
  • Follow procedures to execute in-store transfers.
  • Ensure receiving machinery, equipment and working tools are under regular maintenance and well-kept.
  • Ensure receiving areas is organized, clear, unblocked and safe.
  • Control backdoor access and enforce relevant policies.
  • Greet vendors and staff by providing friendly service.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with products and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Possess basic computer skills in MS Office.
  • Possess valid Fork Lift or Pallet Jack license.
  • Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety.
