Position Details

• Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-HOSPITAL
• Status: Part Time
• Department: Medically Complex Services
• Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
• Shifts: Days/Nights including weekends
• Rate of Pay: $34.471 - $37.051 per hour

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Current CPR and BCLS
• Working in expanded scope of practice
• Clinical knowledge and comfortable working within a busy environment with numerous trachs, central lines and wounds
• Competent to administer medications and treatments
• Comfortable working with complex dressings
• Expertise working with respiratory clients and associated tasks (suctioning, performing tracheotomy care)
• If not already working with PICC lines, prepared to receive training and work with PICC lines within one month of hire
• Catheterization, Trach suctioning, Wound/skin courses would be an asset and/or commitment to complete
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Condition of Employment

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
