Position Overview:

The Product Owner plays a central role to lead and manage our data automation and integration initiatives, within a dynamic and fast-paced environment at Canada Goose. You will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to deliver cutting-edge data solutions using Azure Fabric. You will manage the intake of requests, prioritizing workload, and collaborating cross functionally to ensure technology driven solutions deliver value for employees, consumers, and the business. As a critical member of the Data Architecture, Automation & AI team, this role requires a deep understanding of data ecosystem, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage the business planning of Data Architecture, Automation & AI, overseeing all technology development related to Azure Fabric, collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define product vision, roadmap, and goals for data solutions, aligning with corporate priorities.
  • Build, maintain and prioritize the product backlog to ensure features and deliverables provide maximum value to the business. Create clear project documentation, write actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, ensuring stakeholders’ needs are accurately translated into technical solutions. Conduct regular meetings to update stakeholders on progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with data engineering, data integration and data science teams to deliver scalable solutions, manage and prioritize team’s workload based on business needs. Liaise with external vendors and technology partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of Azure Fabric related solutions.
  • Monitor and track the development of technical solutions related to Azure Fabric (data pipelines, automation frameworks, integration workflows), ensuring deliverables are aligned with best practices and compliance guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and efficiency improvements across data lifecycle. Leveraging Azure Fabric tools for long-term scalability.

Let's Talk About You:

  • 3-4 years of experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst or related role in data-centric projects, ideally within retail industry.
  • Excellent computer skills and technical proficiency, proven track record of delivering technology driven solutions.
  • Organized, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business value.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner is a plus.
  • Experience of Fabric tools and services (Azure Data Factory, Lakehouse and Data Lake) is a plus.
  • Experience of Azure API service, familiarity with cloud data architecture, ELT pipelines and integration tools.
  • Strong professional experience with SQL.
