As Marketing Manager Lifecycle programs, you will:
- Execute marketing strategies, driving a best-in-class customer experience that achieves business objectives for BMO Canada retail credit card portfolio.
- Be embedded in a fully cross-functional Lifecycle Marketing team, leading in developing highly effective communications.
- Collaborate closely with a broad cross-section of individuals within BMO and at our marketing agencies to bring high-impact marketing initiatives to life.
- Focus on results, helping to set up regular back-feed reporting that drives optimizations and program planning.
Job Description
The Marketing Manager will lead the development of strategic marketing initiatives in support of growth objectives and differentiation for Card Payments. This individual will be a subject matter expert on Canadian retail credit cards, activating them as force multipliers for overall bank growth.

Marketing Campaign Planning, Key Initiatives & Execution
- Create, develop, and execute marketing plans/strategies for BMO credit card customer base that are consistent with brand standards and drive measurable impact against strategic objectives.
- Manage day-to-day requirements to deliver campaigns on time with flawless execution, including planning/delivery, developing targeting/segmentation & data requirements, managing agencies to develop creative & media plans, managing stakeholder reviews/approvals & translation, incentive fulfillment.
- Maintain superb stakeholder management skills with key partners (collaborating with Lines of Business, Vendors, T&O, etc.) throughout campaign development.
- Track results and outcomes of initiatives, reporting to partners and executives.
- Critically review assets and provide feedback.
Strategy & Marketing Intelligence
- Communicate key insights and relevant facts effectively to different audiences, including crafting comprehensive and compelling narratives and proposals.
- Provide support in developing the annual marketing plan.
- Conduct research to support the planning process, including competitive intelligence, consumer insights, and market trends.
- Monitor best practices and competitor activities to identify trends, forecast developments, and find solutions for growth and innovation.
Budget Planning & Management
- Support management of the marketing budget for customer lifecycle marketing by tracking and reporting on spend and status against plan regularly.
Risk Management & Control
- Work with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure materials are compliant with current regulations.
- Manage audit requirements: ensure appropriate approvals are documented.
Who You Are & Experience You Bring to the Role
- 2+ years of experience in managing marketing campaigns.
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, commerce, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication skills (in person and in writing).
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders & partners.
- Customer champion with a desire to create the best customer experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Curious and willing to challenge the status quo.
Salary: $54,500.00 - $101,500.00
Pay Type: Salaried
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
