Position Description

The Career Coach Facilitator plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of career coaching sessions in Grade 9 and 10 classes across Ontario by acting as the primary point of contact between career coaches, educators, and students. This position requires exceptional organizational expertise, strong interpersonal communications skills, and the ability to manage program logistics seamlessly. The Career Coach Facilitator ensures all sessions are executed with professionalism, fostering meaningful engagement, and delivering impactful career development experiences for students.


This is a really exciting role that will help with the implementation of Career Coaching for Grade 9 and 10 students in all Ontario publicly funded secondary schools and students in other publicly funded educational settings. Job Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities


Program Coordination and Logistics

  • Serve as the on-site lead, ensuring adherence to school protocols and creating a welcoming environment for career coaches.
  • Coordinate session materials, including distributing resources, and ensuring all necessary tools are available for effective program delivery.
  • Conduct pre-session briefings with career coaches to review session structure, expectations, and any last-minute adjustments.



Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to confirm logistical details, including session schedules, classroom locations, and student attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and career coaches, addressing inquiries and resolving on-site challenges promptly.
  • Conduct outreach to recruit Career Coaches through connecting with local employers, industry associations, chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, and other relevant partners.
  • Serve as the onsite lead and primary point of contact for teachers, youth, parents, and professionals inquiring about various aspects of the program.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to align program delivery with shared objectives, foster mutually beneficial relationships, and enhance the reach and impact of career coaching initiatives.



Session Facilitations

  • Deliver engaging opening and closing remarks to set the stage for impactful career coaching sessions.
  • Manage session flow, including timing transitions, supporting student engagement, and overseeing group assignments based on a predetermined grouping system.
  • Monitor session dynamics to ensure alignment with program objectives and maintain a professional learning environment.



Evaluation and Reporting

  • Administer and collect post-session evaluations from students and career coaches, ensuring data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols in the collection, storage, and sharing of program information.
  • Document session outcomes, including attendance, coach feedback, and areas for improvement, and submit detailed reports to the Program Management Team.
  • Develop and present detailed reports summarizing program outcomes, success metrics, and areas for enhancement to the Program Management Team and stakeholders.



Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement best practices for outreach, facilitation, and engagement to drive continuous improvement in program execution.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to enhance program delivery and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as required from time to time.



Qualifications to Succeed:

  • Minimum requirement: high school diploma
  • Diploma or post-secondary education in education, social sciences, social work or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years proven experience in program coordination, event facilitation, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Passion for Career Development and working with students.
  • Experience with coaching/counselling individuals on topics related to employment or career exploration is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for data collection, reporting, and communication.
  • Fluency in written and spoken French is a strong asset.
  • Experience facilitating content in both a virtual and in person environment.

  • Ensures all program elements are executed to the highest standards.
  • Fosters positive relationships with stakeholders across diverse groups.
  • Interest and ability to work in small to medium-sized, not-for-profit organizations.



Working Conditions:

  • A Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Background Check will be required.
  • Active, on-site role requiring physical presence and hands-on coordination.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Access to a Vehicle.
  • Frequent travel to school locations (gas mileage to be reimbursed).
  • Frequent travel across Ontario depending on program needs.
  • May involve early morning commitments and changing schedules due to varying school start and end times.

The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is between $46,559 CAD - $56,000. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location.
