Essential Responsibilities:
This position requires access to and/or use of information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws, which mandate all citizenships (including dual citizenships) be from the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A, which includes Canada and can be found here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-10/chapter-III/part-810/appendix-Appendix%20A%20to%20Part%20810) unless a specific authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy is obtained or unless you are a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual under the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)). You must have legal authorization to work in Canada and any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation. The drug screen requirement in the background check process is not required if the role is based in Canada.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the integrated corrective action program for Canadian project activities.
- Support project staff with the correct use of the integrated corrective action program while ensuring quality and timely completion of analyses, actions, reviews, etc.
- Coordinate and facilitate screening meetings of conditions to ensure the appropriate priority level and ownership is determined.
- Perform root cause and apparent cause evaluations as required.
- Perform effectiveness reviews and monitor the health of the integrated corrective action program including quality and timeliness by creating and tracking metrics and key performance indicators on a recurring basis.
- Conduct training or workshops to familiarize staff with the integrated project corrective action program.
- Lead the implementation of the integrated operating experience and lessons learned program for Canadian project activities.
- Ensure relevant operating experience is collect and shared with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to improve safety, performance and efficiency.
- Prepare and present reports of program implementation and performance to leadership members.
- Conduct training or workshops to familiarize staff with the integrated project operating experience and lessons learned program.
- Quality interface between customer and internal/external partners and participate in customer quality meetings.
- Apply quality and technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex problems.
- Support project site quality assurance activities related to field changes, nonconformances, surveillances and audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 4 years of related professional work experience in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.
- Proven experience in complex projects and providing quality guidance/direction to contributing functions.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to create technical reports suitable for a wide range of audiences.
- Experience with problem solving methodologies, Lean and other related quality methodologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CSA N286-12, CSA N299, and other CSA standards; ASME NQA-1, and ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of Nuclear Industry technologies (commercial light water, advanced and small modular reactors).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
- Familiarity with Root / Apparent Cause Analysis tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with nuclear operating experience and lessons learned programs.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other GEH/GE, customer, and supplier facilities/sites.
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, communicates messages clearly and concisely with the ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information / ability to sift through complex information and focus on critical few priorities.
