HVAC Service Manager

We are hiring a HVAC Service Manager in Calgary, AB!

Responsibilities:

This position will include, but not be limited to the following:

Lead, Manage, Accountability

• Lead: Inspire, motivate, and create a positive culture within the service team. Set clear expectations and embody the company’s vision and values.
• Manage: Develop and execute processes to ensure service technicians operate efficiently, meet KPIs, and deliver high-quality customer service.
• Accountability: Hold team members accountable for their performance, adherence to policies, and meeting company standards. Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews.

Financial Performance and Profitability  

• Manage service-related revenue and expense targets, ensuring profitability aligns with company goals.
• Monitor technician efficiency, billing hours, and job completion rates to improve productivity.
• Drive upselling and service agreement memberships while maintaining ethical standards.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure technicians follow standardized operating procedures for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Oversee scheduling and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Drive improvement in first-time fix rates and reduce callbacks/recalls on installs or repairs.
• Manage tools, inventory, and vehicle maintenance for service technicians.

Team Training and Development

• Identify skill gaps and coordinate ongoing training and certification programs for technicians.
• Mentor and coach technicians to improve technical expertise, customer service, and time management.
• Foster career development opportunities within the team to retain top talent.

Qualifications:

• Gas B or Refrigeration journeyperson ticket. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience 
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
• Clean criminal record check.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
