Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Landscaper to join our team year-round. In the warmer months, you will focus on essential landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and garbage cleanup. As winter approaches, your role will shift to snow removal duties to ensure safe and accessible outdoor spaces for our clients. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, the ability to work in all weather conditions, and the capacity to handle long hours, particularly during snowstorms. Key Responsibilities:
Landscaping Duties (Spring to Fall):
Mowing: Operate and maintain lawnmowers to keep lawns neatly cut and tidy.
Trimming: Use trimmers and edgers to shape hedges, shrubs, and grass edges.
Weeding: Remove weeds from garden beds, walkways, and other outdoor areas to keep landscapes looking clean and healthy.
Garbage Clean-Up: Collect and properly dispose of trash, leaves, and debris from outdoor spaces.
Attention to Detail: Ensure all landscaping tasks are completed to the highest standards with meticulous care and precision.
Reliability: Show up on time, follow instructions closely, and complete tasks efficiently.
Physical Endurance: Ability to stay on feet for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs for various tasks, such as soil bags and equipment.
Winter Snow Removal Duties (Winter Months):
Salting: Apply salt or other de-icing materials to driveways, walkways, and parking areas to prevent ice buildup and ensure safety.
Shovelling: Manually shovel snow from walkways, stairs, and other areas as needed.
Plowing: Operate small snow plows to clear sidewalks.
On-Call Availability: Be ready to work at any time, including nights and weekends, during snowstorms or extreme weather events.
Long Hours: Willingness to work extended hours based on weather conditions, particularly after major snowfalls.
Qualifications:
Previous landscaping or snow removal experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and snow.
Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks based on the season.
