We are seeking a Clinical Lead to provide clinical supervision to an interdisciplinary clinical team members providing assessment and treatment to children, youth, and families who have been affected by trauma, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse or neglect.

The successful candidate will also manage a small caseload of clients providing direct individual, family or group assessments and treatments.

Duties And Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

CLINICAL LEAD

  • To provide clinical supervision to members of a clinical team, including direct and delegated supervision as per the center’s policy on supervision.
  • Responsible for overseeing the clinical work through supervision and ensuring all team members meet administrative and educational responsibilities.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining a coherent interdisciplinary team of clinicians whose individual and collective efforts work for the benefit of the clients of the Agency, and providing coaching, mentoring and clinical consultation to staff.
  • Collaborate and aid in the facilitation of staff meetings, project work and committees as instructed by Program Manager.

THERAPIST

  • Responsible for maintaining a small caseload as needed, providing direct individual/ family/group assessment and treatment.
  • Provide support, consultation, assessment and treatment services to infants and children, 0-18 and their families using family, individual, parent-child, and group modalities as required.
  • Provide a bio psychosocial perspective within the interdisciplinary team and to be aware of the importance of contributions from other disciplines in recognizing and treating disorders of children and their families.
  • Liaise and advocate on behalf of the child and family to other staff members and to significant professionals and programs in the community.

Candidates Must Have

  • Relevant Master’s degree from a recognized university with the relevant accrediting professional body i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in individual, couple, family and group therapy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within the team to develop a coordinated treatment program to meet child and family needs, and an ability to apply relevant knowledge and training to the assessment and treatment of children and their families.
  • Excellent clinical leadership skills gained through many years of progressively responsible practice and management experience in social services.
