What you’ll do – The opportunity

Position: Social and Digital Specialist - Beyond Beer

Location: Guelph, Ontario

Level: Individual Contributor

Description: Reporting into the Director, Marketing – Beyond Beer, this position will lead in-house graphic design projects for all Sleeman brands while supporting social and digital media execution across all platforms for Beyond Beer brands. Please note: this is a one year contract with a hybrid work model. Open to all regions - ON, QC, BC, Prairies.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

• Receive and respond to creative briefs from brand and trade marketing teams related to graphic design and other creative projects across all brands.
• New packaging design and development including concepts, primary labels, secondary cartons, package renderings for presentations and submitting final art for pre-press.
• Promotional packaging design for national/regional trade programs. Includes design and layout of promotional flashes on existing packaging SKUs.
• POS design including sell sheets, basic point of sale (posters), displays, event materials etc. working across all brands in the portfolio.
• Lead design projects to deliver visual assets for e-commerce & brand websites (i.e. banner ad creative, renderings, photography)
• Create concept presentations for feedback and approval from key stakeholders across brand & trade marketing.
• Brand standards: leading brand standards evolution for Beyond Beer products and supporting beer brand projects when needed.

Social/Digital Media

• Support strategic vision for Sleeman Beyond Beer brands, across social and digital media channels
• Lead the development and creation of engaging social media content including but not limited to photography, video and written, that is aligned with brand positioning and brand campaigns.
• Lead the organic social media and community management for Beyond Beer brands
• Collaborate with brand manager and director on campaign development for Beyond Beer brands.
• Lead development of social and digital annual plan to support campaign.
• Leverage social and digital metrics and brand performance to develop and improve brand and communication plans.
• Collaborate with brand manager and director on annual brand plans.
• Collaborate with brand marketing and advertising/media agencies to drive consistency of Beyond Beer brands in social and digital media.
• Track performance of social and digital content using Sleeman metrics and methodology and present recommendations and performance to Director quarterly.
• Develop Quarterly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to Brand Manager and Director and shared across marketing team.
• Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for Beyond Beer brands
• Assists with various special projects/requests, as required to support Beyond Beer brands.
• Support social and digital strategy and content development across other brands as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic design, social and digital media experience is an asset.
• Post-Secondary education in graphic design, marketing, or related subjects.
• Strong organization skills; detail-oriented
• Proven ability to work effectively on teams, and engage effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient at using design programs such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Basic video editing skills are an asset, knowledgeable in Premier, iMovie and/or CapCut.
• Strong computer skills, including ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
