Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safe and reliable light and heavy equipment assets are available to meet operational requirements
  • Leads and ensures the application of safety practices, policies and procedures by all direct reports
  • Conducts fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met · Oversees regular inspection and preventive maintenance programs
  • Ensures communication between site operations and maintenance department · Participates in hiring processes and coordinates the work schedules of maintenance employees
  • Ensures that equipment complies with applicable laws and standards

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in field equipment maintenance in a construction environment.
  • Experience in leading teams, coaching and succession planning for technical personnel. · Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, problem-solve, and work under pressure of deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, including use of MS Office products, and familiarity with ERP systems and equipment management software.
  • Journeyperson certificate as a heavy-duty mechanic is an asset.

Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $130,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
