Electrician

The Opportunity

Dismantle, troubleshoot, investigate, repair, and re-assemble all types of electrical and mechanical apparatus'.

The Role

• Dismantling and assembly of rotating equipment:
  
  

Assist in assembly of most types of rotating equipment. Complete service order card.

Determine bearing type, size, seals, shields etc. Document bearing arrangement.

Remove and install bearings. Identify parts for proper assembly. Properly store and clean parts.

Withdraw materials.

Perform grit blasting of equipment.

Re-assemble basic rotating equipment. Paint.

Perform electrical tests (e.g. meggar, surge comparison, hypo, core loss).

Perform final run tests and vibration

Low Voltage C. Three Phase Winding:

• Perform core loss and loop
• Perform electrical tests and record (e.g. surge comparison, PI meggar).
• Mechanical Operations:
  
  

Assist in rigging and equipment handling during in plant repairs and overhauls.
