Typical Duties Include
- Estimating and budgeting the costs of a construction project
- Evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers
- Managing costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Preparing financial reports and progress reports
- Managing junior quantity surveyors and other team members
- Adaptability
- Attention to detail
- Leadership
- Maths skills
- Project management
- STEM subjects at GCSE grades A*-C
- A-Levels
- Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- Level 4 NVQ or equivalent T Level in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant subject
- Level 6 Diploma or equivalent Degree Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant subject
