As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the development of construction projects. Your role will be to make sure the projects progress efficiently, affordably and safely.

What does this role involve?

Typical Duties Include

  • Estimating and budgeting the costs of a construction project
  • Evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers
  • Managing costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Preparing financial reports and progress reports
  • Managing junior quantity surveyors and other team members

Qualifications

  • STEM subjects at GCSE grades A*-C
  • A-Levels
  • Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant Bachelor’s Degree
  • Level 4 NVQ or equivalent T Level in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant subject
  • Level 6 Diploma or equivalent Degree Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant subject
