We’re currently looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. Position Overview:
As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Complete the full cycle accounting process, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
- Prepare and file government remittances, including payroll taxes, GST/HST, and other required filings, in a timely manner.
- Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all necessary adjustments and accruals are made.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience with year-end closing and audit preparation.
