Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director for Canada, the Director of Wholesale will drive strategic priorities and lead a sales team for Levi Strauss & Co. brand categories and consumer segments to achieve profitable growth for the brand and our retail and franchise partners.
The Director of Wholesale sits on the Canadian leadership team and is responsible for driving vision, brand strategy, business plans, and leading through our core LS&Co. Values.

About The Role
- Build vision, business plans and communicate strategic priorities in a clear and compelling manner to the Wholesale organization
- Strong business acumen. Develop and execute an Annual Financial Plan and drive a proactive and productive Net Position Process that improves company and customer profitability.
- Deepen relationships with account senior management and provide differentiated business models to address mutual strategic priorities
- Develop sell-in strategies to enhance growth and work closely with key customers to optimize profitability
- Lead Franchise sell-in and partner management, from assorting through to shipping.
- Work with cross-functional leaders to promote effective relationships at all levels, building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Merchandising and Planning
- This is a hybrid role based in our Markham office three days per week
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of Wholesale leadership experience in the retail apparel business
- Proven track record developing and monitoring successful business plans, and allocating and managing co-op and strategic marketing funds effectively
- Strong experience in building high-performance teams through successfully managing, coaching and providing career growth opportunities
- Solid understanding of the retail environment and the competition along with a track record of delivering sales results
- Ability to increase our strategic alignment with key accounts
- Strong leadership, excellent communication and solid relationship building skills
- Proven ability to understand, synthesize, articulate and apply sales and marketing concepts in a diverse selling environment
- Ability to anticipate and identify competitor and retail changes which may impact our business and/or the retailer's business
- Capability to quickly react to changes in the marketplace and adapt accordingly
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, problem solving, presentation and selling skills
- Ability to drive for results in a dynamic, complex environment
- Annual leave of 3 weeks, and incremental vacation entitlement based on tenure
