Finning Canada is looking for a dedicated Tool Crib Attendant to join our dynamic, industry leading team in Kamloops, BC on a 7x7 Continuous Shift. The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining tool crib inventory and supplies, housekeeping and repair of small tools and equipment.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day repair of small tools and equipment, ensure they meet safety guidelines and standards
  • Track and coordinate tool maintenance, maintain accurate records of inventory levels
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of usage, returns and stock levels
  • Stock shop supplies and shop supply cabinets in a timely manner.
  • Housekeeping and Contamination Control, ensure tool crib and staging areas are clean and organized for easy access
  • Track tooling and repair costs, act as the main contact for suppliers for tool and supply orders.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

Specific Skills:

  • Completion of grade 12, solid understanding of tool repair and/or tool maintenance
  • Basic understanding of inventory control
  • Self-starter able to follow directions, work well with others and has the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Customer focused , ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Previous building maintenance and shipping/receiving experience will be considered assets
  • Computer experience coupled with DBS and SIS will also be considered assets

Union Membership:

  • You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay.
  • Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
  • Candidate selection will be made in accordance with the terms of the collective agreement
  • The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
