Job Summary

Reporting to the VP Sales with a dotted line to the Director Sales, the Sr. Manager, Wholesales Execution is responsible for implementing and executing the organization's complete retail sales strategy within the established region for all channels. This roles assists with the development of regional and product strategies for sales, marketing, advertising, pricing and distribution. Owns Sales Force execution deliverables for the region. The Sr. Manager, Wholesales Execution will be part of the Strategic Team in region and will ensure the execution in the Districts align with regional targets and strategy. This role will be required to manage any third party execution companies with targets and channel strategy. Reporting to this role will be 3 District Managers and any third party GTM team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and champion the execution of the sales strategy in ALL retail execution (+$50M in ebitda) LCBO, Grocery, C&G
  • Develop volume, revenue and portfolio mix targets in accordance with the Channel Plans and ensure we are maximizing coverage and growth.
  • Develop/employ and share tactics to achieve volume, revenue, distribution and share targets for the assigned region.
  • Develop and deliver a quarterly operating review for the assigned region.
  • Develop the strategic retail execution plan and structure to ensure maximum coverage for ROI in time management.
  • Work with Sr sales management and category management on a portfolio and customer segmentation strategy, portfolio prioritization by District and channel.
  • Work with the direct reports to develop and execute an annual plan and key customer development plans.
  • Own the Strategic plan for retail execution in conjunction with SAT team channel leads (LCBO, Grocery, C&G)
  • Partner with finance department and sales leaders to develop and ensure execution of pricing program.
  • Partner with supply chain for inventory and allocation planning by territory, by category, by trade channel.
  • Key Category Management Initiatives are coordinated and executed in the field (Grocery, C&G and LCBO) as per the plan.
  • Customer Service Standards are met for all customers
  • Review retail account coverage/service model on an ongoing basis to ensure we are optimally deployed to deliver our business objectives and maximize all headcount coverage (21 FT and 16 PT)
  • Manages all things related to execution and people for the retail sales team: lead, coach, motivate, train and develop.
  • Manage the communication flow to the field sales force through regular meetings.
  • Lead on project Accelerator and the use of BI and data within Ontario sales

Qualifications

  • A university degree or college diploma
  • 10 years of relevant sales experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant sales management experience.
  • Effective leadership and coaching skills including demonstrated success in hiring, mentoring, coaching, training on fundamentals and developing sales talent
  • Advanced skills with sales force automation and Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Advanced analysis skills with particular attention to detail

Compensation: Budgeted Range – ($114,540.00-$148,229.00) the budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
